NBC Says Trump Asked Israel to Agree to Ceasefire With Hezbollah

President Donald Trump asked Israel to agree to a ceasefire with Hezbollah, NBC News reported.

Trump spoke with Israeli officials on June 19 and urged them to reach a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah, NBC News said.

The remarks came as tensions in the Middle East showed signs of easing, with the US and Iran nearing a memorandum of understanding.

Iranian and Lebanese officials had earlier said the war should end on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

Hezbollah said later on June 19 that it had not yet received any notice about the timing of a ceasefire.
