The US, Iran and Pakistan have begun bilateral and trilateral contacts in Switzerland, media reports said. The first formal negotiating session is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Korea time on June 21.

BlockBeats, a crypto-focused media outlet, reported on June 21, citing Saudi media outlets Al Hadath and Al Arabiya, that the three countries had started bilateral and trilateral contacts in Switzerland.

Iran said the first formal negotiating session is set for 11:30 a.m. GMT, or 8:30 p.m. Korea time on June 21.

Iran's state news agency reported that the Iranian delegation had completed preparations for the talks.

The meeting is a technical negotiation aimed at implementing an agreement between the US and Iran. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry had previously said US and Iranian representatives, along with mediation teams from Pakistan and Qatar, would hold working-level technical talks in Bürgenstock, Switzerland.

Earlier, US Vice President JD Vance named Iran's nuclear issue and a ceasefire in Lebanon as the main agenda items in the US-Iran talks. Iranian officials also view ending the conflict in Lebanon as a core agenda item, according to the report.
