SK Hynix Overtakes Samsung Electronics as Kospi’s Most Valuable Stock

SK Hynix overtook Samsung Electronics’ common stock in intraday trading on June 22 to become the largest company on the Kospi by market capitalization.

Data from the Korea Exchange showed SK Hynix’s market value at 208.46544 trillion won ($150.9 billion) as of 12:51 p.m. on June 22, exceeding Samsung Electronics’ 208.41983 trillion won ($150.8 billion) by 456.1 billion won ($330.3 million). The shift ended Samsung’s roughly 25-year, seven-month run as the Kospi’s most valuable listed company.
