Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has launched a public test of whether AI-based text analysis can pierce anonymity.
In a June 22 post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Buterin wrote that he had published some fairly important Ethereum-related documents over the past decade under names other than his own.
“If AI really can break anonymity, try to find those documents,” he wrote. “I don’t know how easy or difficult that will be, but I’m curious about the results.”
The remarks appeared intended to test claims that AI can identify authors by analyzing writing style and word choice.
