Ethereum Foundation Leadership Concerns Grow as at Least 8 Executives Exit in Five Months

Ethereum Foundation Executive Director Hsiao-Wei Wang has said she intends to resign, intensifying concerns about the organization's leadership.

Crypto media outlet CoinDesk reported on June 22 that at least eight executives have left the Ethereum Foundation over the past five months.

Former Ethereum Foundation researcher Dankrad Feist said some people have suggested Wang's resignation announcement was driven by disagreement over CROPS, a newly unveiled strategic framework centered on censorship resistance, open source, privacy and security, because it came just after the framework was released. He said that was not the case.

Those who left the foundation were believers in the CROPS strategy, Feist said. The problem is with management, not the strategy itself, he added.

The talent exodus reflects leadership failures rather than ideological differences, and it will have a very negative impact on Ethereum, according to Feist.
