Walter Bloomberg reported on June 24 that Binance said it would continue its EU business.
Binance recently sought a Markets in Crypto-Assets, or MiCA, license for its crypto business in Greece, but the bid failed. Some EU authorities, including those in Greece, Ireland and Latvia, have declined to grant Binance licenses because of compliance concerns, according to Walter Bloomberg.
MiCA, the European Union's comprehensive crypto regulatory framework, will take effect next month. Binance must secure an alternative license within a week before its existing operating permit expires, Walter Bloomberg reported.
