Gold fell below $4,000 an ounce for the first time since November.

BlockBeats and other outlets reported on June 24 that spot gold slipped beneath the $4,000-an-ounce mark. It was the first time in seven months that spot gold had traded below $4,000 an ounce.

Spot gold climbed as high as $5,596 this year, setting a record. It is now down nearly $1,600 from that peak.
