US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reiterated the principle of free passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
Crypto-focused media outlet BlockBeats reported on June 25 that Rubio said, “We will not accept any claim that the Strait of Hormuz belongs to any country.”
The Strait of Hormuz, a key route for Middle East oil shipments, lies between Iran and Oman. As tensions in the Middle East ease and global oil prices return to levels seen before the Iran crisis, the US is maintaining its position on passage through the waterway and the stability of energy supply chains.
