Qatar's Foreign Ministry said there are currently no plans for high-level talks between the US and Iran.
BlockBeats, a digital-asset media outlet, reported on June 30 that a ministry spokesperson said Steve Witkoff, the US president's special envoy, and Jared Kushner, a former senior White House adviser, are set to visit Qatar to meet with mediators.
There are no current plans to hold high-level talks between the US and Iran, the spokesperson added.
That account differs from comments by President Donald Trump a day earlier that a meeting with Iran would be held in Doha, Qatar. In a Truth Social post, Trump said Iran had requested the meeting and that it would take place in Doha on July 1.
