Ethereum Institutional Launches to Accelerate Adoption by Institutions

A nonprofit organization formed to support institutional adoption of Ethereum has launched.

Ethereum Institutional said on its official X account on July 1 that it is an independent nonprofit dedicated to accelerating institutional adoption across the Ethereum ecosystem, including layer-2 networks. The organization officially launched the same day.

Ethereum Institutional described itself as an unbiased representative of the broader Ethereum ecosystem and a direct point of contact for institutions. Its founding team helped build the Ethereum Foundation's business function from an early stage and has worked with hundreds of institutions, including banks, asset managers, custodians and infrastructure providers.

The organization said choosing Ethereum is the result of a series of long-term technical and commercial decisions. Throughout that process, it added, institutions need a trusted counterpart that can help them navigate the ecosystem and persuade executives with clear, unbiased answers.
