Coinone, a South Korean cryptocurrency exchange, has signed on as the main title sponsor of summer music festival Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 as it steps up efforts to reach consumers in their 20s and 30s.

The company said Friday it is launching a promotional event for new users and customers who invite friends to mark the sponsorship, with prizes including festival tickets and hotel stay vouchers.

Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 will be held on Aug. 22 at Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano in Gangwon Province. Performers are set to include BIBI, Simon Dominic, Yoon Mi-rae, Tiger JK, Lee Young-ji, Kim Haon and Hong Da-bin.

Coinone will raffle off two tickets to Waterbomb Sokcho 2026 to 300 customers who sign up as new users and submit an entry during the event period. It will also give deluxe stay vouchers for Hanwha Resort Seorak Sorano to 20 customers who enter the event and complete their first trade.

The exchange is also running a friend-referral campaign. The top 20 customers who invite the most friends will receive Waterbomb tickets and other prizes. The first-place winner will receive prizes worth 6.7 million won ($4,900), including a Hanwha Resort stay voucher and a Waterbomb Sokcho VVIP package.

A Coinone official said the sponsorship was designed to raise the exchange's profile among consumers in their 20s and 30s, a core age group for crypto investing, and lower the psychological barrier to investing. Starting with the Waterbomb Sokcho sponsorship, the company plans to continue differentiated marketing campaigns in the second half to draw in more customers.
