The world’s major publicly traded companies now hold more than 1.26 million Bitcoin.

On July 3, crypto-focused media outlet Wu Blockchain, citing data from BitcoinTreasuries.net in a post on X, reported that the top 100 public companies hold a combined 1,264,867 BTC.

That equals about 6.02% of Bitcoin’s maximum supply of 21 million BTC.

Strategy holds the largest Bitcoin stockpile among public companies, with 847,363 BTC.

It is followed by Twenty One Capital with 43,514 BTC, Metaplanet with 43,000 BTC, MARA Holdings with 36,303 BTC and Bitcoin Standard Treasury Company with 30,021 BTC.

The list also includes Bullish with 24,300 BTC, Strive with 19,864 BTC, SpaceX with 18,712 BTC, Coinbase Global with 16,492 BTC and Riot Platforms with 15,680 BTC.

Wu Blockchain said Bitcoin holdings by public companies have surpassed 6% of the token’s total supply.

The figures suggest corporate demand to add Bitcoin as a treasury asset has continued to accumulate despite the bear market. At the same time, the concentration of holdings among a small number of large companies means changes in capital management by major holders such as Strategy could have an outsized effect on market sentiment.
