YGG Exits Crypto Game Publishing to Focus on AI Training Data
Forecast Trend Report by Period

Yield Guild Games, or YGG, is exiting its crypto game publishing business.
Crypto media outlet Decrypt reported on July 6 that YGG will shut down YGG Play, its casual blockchain game publishing unit, citing a slump in the digital-asset market and broader difficulties in the video-game industry.
The YGG Play website and launcher, along with related games including LOL Land and Waifu Sweeper, will shut down on Aug. 1.
YGG plans to focus future investment on supplying AI training data derived from player behavior in video-game decision-making.
The company said it held $20.6 million in assets as of the first quarter and expects the restructuring to provide enough operating funds for about four years.
