The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has included three cryptocurrency-related items in its 2026 regulatory agenda.

The agenda includes a new proposal to revise rules for exchanges and broker-dealers as part of digital-asset regulation, The Block reported on July 7.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins said the agency is embracing innovation to attract more financial products to the US and is drafting clearer rules for capital raising through cryptocurrencies.

It is also providing clearer standards on how market participants can custody tokenized securities on-chain and support trading in them, Atkins added.
