President Donald Trump said he is at the top of Iran's assassination list.
On July 8, Trump said, according to Walter Bloomberg, "I am No. 1 on Iran's assassination list."
The comment came shortly after military clashes between the U.S. and Iran resumed. U.S. Central Command restarted airstrikes on Iran on July 7 after three oil tankers were hit by Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
The U.S. government also revoked a temporary general license issued on June 21 that had allowed sales of Iranian crude for up to 60 days. As a result, 63 million barrels of Iranian crude are now stranded at sea, the report said.
Iran responded immediately. In retaliation for the U.S. airstrikes, it struck U.S. facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait, according to the report.
