BlockBeats reported on July 9, citing CoinGlass data, that a break above $64,000 could force the liquidation of $689 million in short positions on major centralized exchanges.
If Bitcoin falls below $62,000, $267 million in long positions could be liquidated across major exchanges.
Bitcoin was trading in the upper $62,000 range on July 9. CoinMarketCap data showed the token at $62,994.72 as of 4:45 p.m., up 0.36% from a day earlier.
