President Donald Trump said he has left instructions for retaliation on an unprecedented scale if Iran succeeds in assassinating him.
The New York Post reported on July 10 that Trump said in an interview that he had already ordered bombing "the likes of which they’ve never seen" in the event Iran carried out such an attack.
Asked about reports this week that Israel had passed along intelligence related to threats against a US president, Trump said there was no new Iranian assassination plot. He added that Tehran had been trying to kill him for years.
