President Donald Trump said the US held lengthy talks with Iran.
Walter Bloomberg, an overseas breaking economic news channel, reported on July 13 that Trump said, "We had an 11-hour meeting with the Iranian side yesterday."
The remark came as military tensions between the US and Iran escalated.
Trump had previously said of Iran, "We had a deal, but they broke it."
Markets are watching whether the lengthy talks between the two sides signal room for negotiations.
