A US strike in southern Iran killed at least three people and injured five others.
Iran's state-run IRNA news agency reported on July 13 that a US projectile struck a civilian agricultural pumping station in Khuzestan province. Valiollah Hayati, the province's deputy governor for security affairs, said one guard at the station was killed and four others were injured and taken to a hospital.
Additional casualties were reported in the southern city of Abadan. Mehr News Agency said attacks by US forces hit several parts of the city, killing at least two people. Tasnim News Agency, citing a local official, reported that another person was injured by a US projectile that landed in Abadan.
