Strategy, Michael Saylor’s company, raised about $467 million through sales of common stock, increasing its cash reserves to about $3 billion. The company made no Bitcoin trades during the period.

Bloomberg reported on July 13 that Strategy said in a filing it did not buy or sell Bitcoin in the seven days through July 12. Instead, it issued common stock to build its cash buffer and preserve liquidity.

The fundraising comes after Strategy recently overhauled the financing structure behind its Bitcoin strategy. The revised framework gives management broad discretion over Bitcoin sales, repurchases of the company’s own securities and liquidity preservation.

Another funding channel, preferred stock issuance, is currently constrained. The market price of the preferred shares is below levels that would support new issuance, complicating the company’s earlier plan to reduce its reliance on common stock.

Last week, Strategy sold $216 million of Bitcoin as part of its new capital-management framework. The move raised concerns that the company could scale back its role as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. The latest filing suggests the sale was a tactical step rather than the start of regular disposals, though questions remain over how Strategy will fund future Bitcoin purchases.
