Volvo Weighs Blockchain Adoption to Optimize Supply Chain

Volvo is considering adopting blockchain technology for supply chain management.

Cointelegraph reported on July 16 that Ivan Branco, Volvo Group's head of information management, AI and data analytics, said in a recent interview with the Cardano Foundation that the company is reviewing how blockchain could be used to optimize its supply chain.

Volvo Group believes blockchain can improve data management efficiency and transparency across the supply chain. The company has also developed and tested its own cryptocurrency for a blockchain proof of concept, the report said.

Branco added that Volvo Group is exploring potential blockchain applications.
