Citadel Securities will invest $400 million in Crypto.com.
CoinDesk reported on July 16 that the deal marks the first institutional investment Crypto.com has secured since its founding in 2016. The transaction values the company at $20 billion.
Crypto.com plans to use the funds to expand into security tokens and derivatives.
The company also said it is developing new products in prediction markets and tokenized real-world assets, or RWAs.
