BitPay Wins MiCA License in the Netherlands
Forecast Trend Report by Period

BitPay, a crypto payments company, has received authorization from Dutch regulators under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets framework, known as MiCA.
Cointelegraph reported on July 16 that BitPay had obtained a Crypto-Asset Service Provider, or CASP, license from the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets. The approval allows the company to expand crypto-asset and stablecoin payment services across European Union member states.
"Europe is one of the most important regions for the future of payments," Jonathan Aler, BitPay’s head of Europe, said.
The authorization came shortly after MiCA registration became mandatory on July 1 for all companies offering crypto-related services. Many crypto firms had tried to secure approval before the deadline, though some exchanges later suspended talks with European Union regulators.
