US Central Command Strikes Iran for Seventh Straight Day, Enforces Maritime Blockade
Forecast Trend Report by Period

The US Central Command has carried out high-intensity strikes on Iran for a seventh straight day while simultaneously enforcing a full maritime blockade, stepping up pressure on multiple fronts.
CENTCOM said on X on July 17 that it launched additional airstrikes targeting Iran at 3 p.m. Eastern time. The latest operation extended the US air campaign against Iran to a full week without interruption.
The operation’s main objective is to continue degrading Iran’s ability to conduct military operations and to neutralize threat assets in the region.
Military control at sea has also intensified. US forces are strictly enforcing a sweeping maritime blockade against Iran while maintaining a heightened state of alert.
During the first three days after resuming the blockade, CENTCOM forced four commercial vessels to alter course to ensure full compliance with sanctions. It also disabled one vessel and boarded another for an inspection, demonstrating tight military control at sea.
