Chairman Park Hyeon-joo outlines plan in letter to employees
"Build a new investment ecosystem where
traditional and digital assets coexist"

Mirae Asset Group will raise its stake in Korbit to 97.15%. The cryptocurrency exchange is being repositioned as the core platform for the group's digital-asset strategy.
Park Hyeon-joo, Mirae Asset Group's global strategy officer, wrote in a letter to employees on July 23 that Korbit was "starting anew today" under the name Digital X and had become part of Mirae Asset.
"Our mission is to combine traditional and digital assets, Mirae Asset's deep expertise and Korbit's unrivaled specialization, to create a new investment paradigm that no one has yet attempted," Park wrote. "We are now beginning a shared voyage to realize the sweeping era of Mirae Asset 3.0 together."
He also presented a blueprint for building a new investment ecosystem where traditional and digital assets coexist, centered on real-world asset tokenization, security token offerings and stablecoins. Digital X will lead that wave of change under the banner of Mirae Asset 3.0.
Park also stressed the importance of compliance. "Compliance is our absolute standard and cannot be compromised," he wrote, urging employees to fully comply with relevant laws and global standards in anti-money laundering, know-your-customer rules, information security and abnormal trading detection systems.
Alongside the rebranding, Mirae Asset Group is strengthening its control over Korbit. Mirae Asset Consulting, a non-financial affiliate of the group, secured a 91.7% stake in Korbit on July 22 and plans to acquire an additional 5.42% on July 24, bringing its total holding to 97.15%.
Korbit said in a notice on its website the same day that existing services would continue unchanged after the rebranding.
