Trump Warns Houthis of Military Retaliation Over Any New Ship Attacks
Forecast Trend Report by Period

President Donald Trump signaled possible military action against Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
In a Truth Social post on July 23, Trump wrote that the Houthis had acted "very responsibly" during the conflict with Iran. He added that the group had resumed operations and attacked two Saudi vessels the previous night.
Trump said the US would hold Iran responsible if the Houthis carried out another such attack. Calling the Houthis an Iranian proxy, he added that both Iran and the Houthis would face major military retaliation.
The Houthis had earlier declared a blockade of the Red Sea on July 20. In a statement that day, the group said it had carried out a military operation targeting two Saudi tankers in the Red Sea.
