Summary

  • Tassat has unveiled Project NENYA, a stablecoin reserve management platform.
  • The platform is set for a full launch in early 2027 and targets small and midsize banks that lack the infrastructure needed to support stablecoin issuance.
  • Project NENYA connects compliant stablecoin issuers and banks, allowing reserves to be allocated across cash deposits and tokenized high-quality liquid assets (HQLA) while supporting bidding for deposits and reserve diversification and monitoring.

Tassat, the developer of the Signet blockchain payments network, has unveiled Project NENYA, a platform for managing stablecoin reserves.

CoinDesk reported on July 23 that Tassat plans to formally launch the platform in early 2027 after completing a pilot program. The platform targets small and midsize banks that lack the technology, compliance infrastructure and specialized staff needed to support stablecoin issuance.

Project NENYA links compliant stablecoin issuers and banks through a shared marketplace, allowing reserves to be allocated between cash deposits and tokenized high-quality liquid assets, or HQLA. Participating banks can bid for deposits, while issuers can spread reserves across multiple institutions and monitor pricing, liquidity and counterparty exposure.
