World Expands Proof-of-Human Push to Zoom, Tinder and AI
Forecast Trend Report by Period

World, formerly known as Worldcoin, said July 28 that it has entered the third phase of “The Simple Plan,” a long-term business roadmap to extend its identity verification network across companies, consumer platforms and AI agents as it marks its third anniversary.
The company said it has verified more than 18 million users to date through World ID, which is designed to prove a person is real without exposing personal information. Global cumulative uses of World ID have surpassed 450 million. With the expanded World ID 4.0, World is broadening the application of its proof-of-human technology across B2B services, consumer platforms and AI environments.
The effort is also driving partnerships with major global companies. World is integrating Deep Face technology with Zoom to verify whether meeting participants are the same person. It is also developing a feature with DocuSign to verify the party approving a contract. Tinder has introduced World ID for profile verification in the US and Japan. In AI, World is working with Vercel and Okta to apply AgentKit to verify the permissions of AI agents.
The company is also expanding practical use cases in South Korea. It has run a pilot program with restaurant reservation platform Catchtable to prevent bots from locking up large numbers of bookings. More recently, it participated as an official partner of the 2025 Nexon Icons Match and introduced an offline-linked verification event.
“South Korea is a key market with high digital platform usage and rapid adoption of new technologies,” Park Sang-wook, head of Tools for Humanity’s Korea branch, said in a statement. He added that the company plans to expand partnerships with local businesses and develop concrete use cases to restore online trust damaged by AI-based fraud and bots.
