Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Ukraine's top diplomat told him the attack on an Iranian ship was an "unintentional incident" and that Kyiv does not want escalation, Walter Bloomberg reported on July 28.
Iran also does not seek escalation, Araghchi said. He added, however, that Tehran had made clear it would not tolerate any attack targeting Iranian citizens or the country's national interests.
