US-Owned LNG Storage Facility Moored at Egypt’s Damietta Targeted in Drone Attack

A U.S.-owned and operated floating LNG storage unit sailing under the Marshall Islands flag was attacked by at least one drone while moored at Damietta, Egypt, Walter Bloomberg reported on July 29, citing maritime security firm Ambrey.
Ambrey said the facility was struck by a drone at least once. The extent of the damage, any casualties and the party behind the attack were not immediately clear.
