Bloomberg reported on July 29 that Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said he will continue holding press conferences after Federal Open Market Committee meetings through the end of this year.
At the press conference, Warsh said he would not be constrained by market pricing when making interest-rate decisions. Markets can be a useful source of information, but they are not the decisive one.
He also said he has been hearing that households and businesses are losing patience. While he will take into account the views of outside working groups, final policy judgments will not be determined by them.
