US spot-Bitcoin exchange-traded funds are on course to post their smallest monthly net inflow on record.

SoSoValue data showed US spot-Bitcoin ETFs took in about $205 million in net inflows from July 1 through July 29. With two trading days left in the month, that pace still points to the weakest monthly net inflow on record.

The funds are increasingly likely to finish July back in positive territory, but the recovery in institutional demand remains limited. US spot-Bitcoin ETFs posted net outflows of $2.43 billion in May and $4.52 billion in June.

US spot-Ethereum ETFs have held up somewhat better. SoSoValue data showed they drew about $343 million in net inflows from July 1 through July 29. Those funds also logged monthly net outflows in May and June, but appear set to return to net inflows in July.

Meanwhile, Bitcoin and Ether prices have shown no clear direction even after the Federal Reserve held interest rates steady with a hawkish tilt. Marex told CoinDesk that Bitcoin's 200-week moving average near $63,300 is a key threshold. If that level holds, the current range-bound trading could be interpreted as a bullish signal.
