Grayscale Investments sent a letter to the U.S. Senate on July 31 urging lawmakers to hold a floor vote on the Clarity Act before Congress begins its August recess, according to media reports.
Lawmakers and their staff have spent months reviewing complex issues including jurisdiction, investor protection and safeguards for developers, Grayscale wrote. The bill produced through that process would protect investors, ensure lawful developers are not subject to excessive regulation, and provide the regulatory clarity Americans need.
After months of bipartisan work, the Clarity Act is now ready for a floor vote, the company added, urging the Senate to act quickly.
