President Donald Trump urged oil companies, including Chevron, to immediately lower retail gasoline prices for consumers.

Crypto media outlet BlockBeats reported on August 3 that Trump, referring to an interview with Chevron Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Mike Wirth, claimed the oil industry and the US would have collapsed without the Trump administration.

Trump added that Chevron had been forced out of Venezuela and is now set to return on a larger scale, where it stands to earn substantial profits. “The same goes for other oil companies. Lower retail gasoline prices right now,” he said.
