Coinbase Chief Executive Officer Brian Armstrong said the US needs a clearer regulatory framework for digital assets to strengthen the country’s economic security.

In a post on X on August 4, Armstrong wrote that “economic security is national security” and that “America needs Clarity.”

Armstrong was referring to the Clarity Act, a US bill intended to define regulatory jurisdiction over digital assets and establish a market structure for the sector.
