SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce said on August 4 that she expects the CLARITY Act to pass, Binance News reported.
“I expect the CLARITY Act to pass,” Peirce said. She added that the SEC will continue pursuing regulatory reform for crypto assets regardless of the bill’s outcome. “Even if the bill doesn’t pass, there is still a lot we can do.”
Peirce also said the crypto industry needs a clearer regulatory framework. A well-defined market structure would strengthen US competitiveness in crypto assets and help reduce long-term regulatory uncertainty, she added.
