JPYC, a Japanese issuer of yen-denominated stablecoins, has raised $38 million in new funding.

JPYC said on Aug. 6 that it had completed a $38 million Series B funding round. Investors included Japanese logistics company AZ-COM and Maruwa Holdings.

The company plans to use the funds to expand real-world use cases for its stablecoin, including in payments and remittances. It also aims to strengthen integration with various Web3 services.
