Kalshi Traders See 66.9% Chance S&P 500 Hits 8,000 This Year

Kalshi traders are pricing in a 66.9% chance that the S&P 500 will hit 8,000 this year, Walter Bloomberg reported on Aug. 6.

The S&P 500 has climbed more than 5% over the past four trading sessions and now sits about 3.6% below the 8,000 mark.

The rebound has been fueled by renewed optimism over AI investment, solid second-quarter corporate earnings and easing tensions in the Middle East.

Kalshi also puts the odds of the S&P 500 rising above 8,200 this year at about 33%.
