Korea Exchange Says Review of Samsung, SK Hynix Single-Stock Leverage ETFs Took 13 Days
Forecast Trend Report by Period

The Korea Exchange said its preliminary review of single-stock leverage products tied to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix took longer than its review of domestic benchmark index exchange-traded funds.
In a reference note issued on August 7, the bourse said the preliminary review for the Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix leverage products took 13 days. That was two days longer than the 11-day review period for domestic benchmark index ETFs. By comparison, preliminary reviews for foreign index and mixed-type ETFs took 19 days.
ETF listings typically go through the exchange's preliminary review, followed by the effectiveness of a securities registration statement, before an application is made for a final review. The final review period is seven days regardless of ETF type, the exchange added. In the case of the single-stock leverage products, the application for final listing was filed on May 19 and approved on May 21. After a market notice on May 22, the products were listed on May 25, the next trading day.
