Forecast Trend Report by Period

The cryptocurrency market this week will track US July consumer price data, other major economic indicators, second-quarter 13F filings from institutional investors and earnings reports from crypto-related companies.
CoinDesk reported on Aug. 10 that the US July consumer price index is due on Aug. 12. Markets expect CPI to rise 3.4% from a year earlier, slowing slightly from 3.5% in June. The monthly increase is projected at 0.1%.
If inflation shows further signs of cooling, that could reinforce expectations that the Federal Reserve will leave interest rates unchanged and bolster bets on a weaker dollar. A higher-than-expected CPI reading, by contrast, could push Treasury yields and the dollar higher again, weighing on digital assets.
US July producer price index data and initial jobless claims are due on Aug. 13. July retail sales, the University of Michigan consumer sentiment index and one-year inflation expectations are scheduled for Aug. 14.
In the crypto market, the Aug. 14 deadline for US institutional investors to submit second-quarter 13F filings could provide a clearer view of changes in major institutions’ crypto-related investments, including spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds.
Crypto-related companies are also scheduled to report earnings. Trump Media & Technology Group, Bitdeer, Bakkt and Exodus are due on Aug. 10, followed by CoreWeave and eToro on Aug. 11. Tokenized securities platform Securitize is set to report on Aug. 12, and cryptocurrency exchange Gemini on Aug. 13.
On the token calendar, Pump (PUMP) will unlock tokens worth about $18.93 million on Aug. 12, equal to 1.75% of its circulating supply. Connext (CONX) is set to release tokens equal to 1.43% of its circulating supply on Aug. 15, followed by YZY on Aug. 16 with tokens equal to 22.83%.
Also on Aug. 16, AI Financial plans to convert about 6.9 billion WLFI that had been subject to lockups into fully transferable tokens, a move that could draw market attention.
