The crypto market this week will be watching a run of U.S. economic data, including the July consumer price index, along with second-quarter 13F filings from institutional investors and earnings from crypto-related companies.

CoinDesk reported that the U.S. July CPI will be released on Aug. 12. Markets expect the index to rise 3.4% from a year earlier, easing from 3.5% in the previous month. The monthly increase is forecast at 0.1%.

If the data shows inflation cooling, expectations for the Federal Reserve to keep interest rates unchanged could strengthen, while the dollar may weaken. A higher-than-expected CPI reading, however, could push Treasury yields and the dollar higher again, weighing on digital assets.

The U.S. July producer price index and weekly jobless claims are due on Aug. 13. July retail sales, the University of Michigan consumer sentiment index and one-year inflation expectations are scheduled for Aug. 14.

For the crypto market, Aug. 14 is also the deadline for U.S. institutional investors to file second-quarter 13F reports. The disclosures could provide a fresh look at changes in crypto-related investments, including spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds.

Earnings from crypto-related companies are also due this week. Trump Media & Technology Group, Bitdeer, Bakkt and Exodus are scheduled to report on Aug. 10, followed by CoreWeave and eToro on Aug. 11. Tokenized securities platform Securitize is set to release results on Aug. 12, while crypto exchange Gemini is due on Aug. 13.

On the token calendar, Pump (PUMP) will unlock about $18.93 million of tokens on Aug. 12, equal to 1.75% of its circulating supply. Connext (CONX) will release tokens equal to 1.43% of circulating supply on Aug. 15, followed by YZY on Aug. 16 with 22.83%.

Also on Aug. 16, AI Financial will convert about 6.9 billion WLFI tokens previously subject to lock-up into fully transferable tokens, a development that could also draw market attention.
