Intel Falls 5% in Premarket Trading, Archer Aviation Jumps 18%

Intel fell in premarket trading ahead of the U.S. stock market open, while Archer Aviation surged on news that Boeing is pursuing an investment in the company.

Bloomingbit reported on August 10 that Intel dropped more than 5% in premarket trading after a report said the chipmaker is seeking to raise $15 billion to expand its artificial intelligence investments.

Nvidia also plans to invest as much as $3 billion in Lancium, a power infrastructure company for AI data centers.

Archer Aviation climbed more than 18% in premarket trading after reports that Boeing is seeking to invest in the company and expand cooperation.

Jefferies downgraded Apple to underperform from hold and cut its price target to $263.66 from $285.56.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co.'s July revenue rose 44.7% from a year earlier to NT$467.58 billion. TSMC also plans to jointly invest about 1 trillion yen with Sony to develop and manufacture next-generation image-sensor semiconductors.

Berkshire Hathaway spent more than $3.3 billion on share buybacks from July 1 to July 29. Meta unveiled its lightweight AI model, Muse Glimmer.
