Layer-1 blockchain Sui unveiled Tessera, a private B2B payment and settlement network for institutional users, in an Aug. 10 post on X.
Sui said most blockchains publicly disclose transaction amounts, allowing competitors to see pricing and volumes. That has hindered the use of blockchain for payments between businesses.
Tessera is a prototype built on Seal MPC and Confidential Transfers technology to protect the privacy of corporate transactions.
Transaction details are not disclosed publicly, but counterparties, regulators and other authorized parties can review the information within the scope of their permissions.
