Digital X Co., Ltd., the operator of cryptocurrency exchange Korbit formerly known as Korbit Co., Ltd., said on August 11 that it had completed registration of its corporate name change.
The change applies only to the company’s legal name. The service name Korbit will be changed later.
There are currently no changes to customer-facing touchpoints such as the app, website and customer notices, or to how they are operated. The way user assets are stored and the entity responsible for processing personal information will also remain unchanged.
Digital X added that it will not ask users for passwords, one-time passcodes or asset transfers because of the corporate name change. It also urged users to be cautious of phishing attempts impersonating the name change.
