Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said the country is at a historic turning point and will respond forcefully to external threats.

Odaily, a cryptocurrency-focused media outlet, reported on Aug. 11 that Rezaei, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said in a statement that Iran is at a major and decisive moment in its modern history and would not compromise on any threat to the rights and interests of its people.

In such circumstances, related decisions must be more resolute than before and made with wisdom and courage based on an accurate assessment of the situation, he said.

He also outlined Iran’s priorities on the international stage, including strengthening deterrence, resisting external pressure and responding swiftly and decisively to attacks.

Rezaei added that Iran would make full use of its diplomatic capabilities while firmly defending the country’s interests regionally and internationally.
