Aton said Aug. 14 that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 rose 92.3% from a year earlier to 3.2 billion won ($2.3 million). Its operating margin increased 9.7 percentage points to 18.1%.

Second-quarter revenue was 17.4 billion won ($12.5 million), and first-half revenue totaled 32.3 billion won ($23.3 million). Quarterly revenue fell 11.4% from a year earlier. The company said the decline reflected a base effect after large projects were concentrated in the year-earlier period, while profit grew as it reshaped its business portfolio and expanded more profitable operations.

In the first half, Aton expanded the business scope of its post-quantum cryptography, or PQC, solutions. It added new clients by broadening supply from banks and securities firms to virtual-asset exchanges and fractional investment platforms.

The company also continued to post results in financial infrastructure and digital-asset businesses. Through the second phase of Project Hangang, a follow-up project to the Bank of Korea-led CBDC pilot, Aton secured reference cases for response systems built for NH NongHyup Bank and KB Kookmin Bank. It also won additional projects involving core systems and financial services at major banks. The company expects revenue from those projects to be recognized sequentially in the second half as development proceeds.

Aton said it plans to strengthen its business portfolio further in the second half, centered on higher-value businesses. It aims to build a stable profit structure by increasing the share of relatively higher-margin businesses such as solutions and licenses.

The company also plans to expand its Security Center business. In the first half, it broadened its service lineup and added new clients across industries including gaming, manufacturing and IT services. In the second half, it plans to expand into the broader enterprise market beyond the financial sector, based on client references built in the first half.
