Iran Says Oman Talks Are Lasting Longer Due to Complexity, Multiple Parties
Minseung Kang

Iran’s Foreign Ministry said talks with Oman are taking longer than expected because the issues under discussion are complex and involve multiple parties.
Walter Bloomberg, a financial news alert account, reported on August 17 that an Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson said the negotiations had dragged on because the matters under discussion were complex and involved several parties.
The spokesperson added that some countries were trying to undermine the negotiation process, contributing to the prolonged talks.
The ministry did not specify which countries were allegedly interfering or provide a timetable for future negotiations.
