Gold, Silver Rise Together; Spot Silver Up 3%, Gold Gains 1%

International gold and silver prices rose in tandem.

Walter Bloomberg reported on Aug. 17 that spot silver climbed about 3% to $66.54 an ounce.

Spot gold also gained 1% to $4,419.79 an ounce.
