Wyoming has moved the cross-chain infrastructure for its Solana-based state-backed stablecoin, Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT, from LayerZero to Chainlink.
CoinDesk reported on Aug. 18 that the Wyoming Stable Token Commission completed the migration to Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, or CCIP, after an extensive security review.
Under a multiyear agreement, Chainlink CCIP will serve as FRNT’s exclusive cross-chain infrastructure.
The switch marks the first publicly disclosed case of a U.S. government entity changing blockchain infrastructure for security reasons.
