China’s YMTC Advances IPO Plans, Listing May Come in First Half of 2027
Forecast Trend Report by Period

China’s NAND flash maker Yangtze Memory Technologies Co. is pushing ahead with an initial public offering.
Bloomberg reported on Aug. 19 that YMTC recently completed the pre-listing guidance process for a domestic stock listing in China. A report disclosed by the China Securities Regulatory Commission said the company has established the corporate governance, accounting framework and internal control systems required of listed firms.
In China, pre-listing guidance is a process in which companies preparing for an IPO work with securities firms to review their accounting and management systems before submitting an application. Finishing that step does not guarantee a listing, but it shows YMTC has moved into formal IPO preparations.
The company still must complete an exchange application and audit, a listing committee review and registration with the securities regulator before it can go public. On Shanghai’s STAR Market, the technology-focused board, the process typically takes eight to 12 months from guidance registration to listing. That timeline points to a YMTC debut in the first half of 2027.
Meanwhile, rival ChangXin Memory Technologies, or CXMT, raised $10 billion in a Chinese stock market listing last month. It was the second-largest IPO in China’s history. Shares surged after the debut, lifting CXMT to the largest market capitalization among China’s listed companies.
