Jonathan Gould, head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, said the agency plans to issue final rules by November to implement the GENIUS Act, the U.S. stablecoin law.

Cointelegraph reported on August 19 that Gould made the remarks at the SALT conference in Wyoming. He said the final rules for the GENIUS Act would be released by November and that work is moving at a very rapid pace.

The OCC has already proposed rules on stablecoin issuers' reserve assets, redemption, risk management, audits and supervision under the GENIUS Act.
